    Filtering (Access 2000)

My problem is quite simple. I just don't have an answer. I have a form (form1) that has a subform (form2). Each have their own primary keys. I need to open a third form from form2 based on the primary key. In the query behind form3, my criteria for form3's foreign id is [Forms]![frmform2].[primaryid]. When I only have form 2 open, it works great. However, when form1 is open, it prompts me for the parameter.

Any suggestions on how I can get around this? I tried references form1 but that did not seem to work.

    Thanks.

A subform is not part of the Forms collection; this collection only contains open "main" forms. Try this:

    [Forms]![frmForm1]!f[rmForm2]![PrimaryID]

Thanks Hans. That worked. I told you it was probably simple.

.... And good luck to your Dutch Football team as they duke it out on the pitch this evening against the US.
