    Quick exit from WOPR (6)

When I come to 'Post It' at the bottom of this page, IE will crash out.. I don't have problems sending other e-mails? IE gives me an error report with the following details:

    AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName: urlmon.dll
    ModVer: 6.0.2800.1106 Offset: 0003140c

Any ideas? I'll now Post and crash.. wait for it... ?!*&

You might check to see what version of urlmon.dll you have. Mine is 6.00.2800.1400. Yours seems to be from Visual Studio or Win XP SP1. Funny that I can't find my version on the MS Database. See MS DLL Database.

You might go to Start/Run & type
    sfc
then <enter> & see if the urlmon.dll is corrupt, but this is a guess.

I've had similar crashes when I had a selection active in one of the form fields, or sometimes if I posted an edit and did something unexpected in the field where you can explain your edit. Since these were very intermittent, I can't really be sure of the cause and they haven't happened recently (probably since I got Windows XP Pro). The odd thing was that the post was always successful. Hmmm... I don't know whether this is a script issue (something in the Lounge pages) or an IE issue, but if you are able to narrow down the circumstances, we could investigate it further.

Version of urlmon.dll is 6.00.2800.1106. I previously installed software from Visual Studio.. I've still got Visual Basic on the Programs menu but it won't load, but doesn't appear in the Add/Remove list. Why can't software companies give easy uninstall options, and make sure that they do UNINSTALL everything that they originally changed? There's lots of rubbish on my computer I'm wary of deleting.

I think I'll leave this for a while.. perhaps it will go away?1 I might download a MS IE update to see if it resolves.
