Hide Rows & Exclude from Calculation (2000/SR???)

I've been asked, and don't know, if there is a way to prevent data in a hidden row from being calculated. The rows being hidden are different each time they want to process a different report.

Or ... is there a better way to do this?

If the rows are "hidden" via autofilter you can use the SUBTOTAL function to calculate the "visible rows"

If you want to calc based on non-hidden rows you need custom functions. See <post#=302082>post 302082</post#> for some examples.

I'll present this to the IT manager who was helping the users. I'll also suggest he join the Lounge. Thanks for your help, Steve!
