temporary internet files (XP Outlook 2002)

When I send jpg's to XP Outlook 2002 on a Dell Laptop they are received as Temporary Internet Files and converted to bmp's. When I attempt to open them with MS Paint, it says no valid path exists. How can I get these jpgs open? I sent them from/to myself on a Win98 Outlook 2000 desktop and they opened easily with both MS Paint and Photoshop.

How are you sending them? You're attaching them using Insert>File, or is it HTML and you're using Insert>Picture?? If they are regular file attachments, try using File>Save Attachments and see if that works better.
