Help Files Won't Install (Office SR-1)

    Hi,

Everytime I try to use the Help function for Word, Excel, or Outlook, I get the Windows Installer and the request to insert my Office CD so that the help files can be installed. I am unable to use the Help since no sooner has it finished installing than it asks me to reboot the system.

Once I do that, and I re-open an Office program, and attempt to access the help, the whole stupid process starts over again.

I've tried reinstalling and repairing my installation, but I can't get the help files to work. In addition I also get a series of 7 error messages related to Access and my registry, one of which I've included as an attachment. Short of wiping my hard drive clean and reloading everything from scratch, is there anything that I can do?

I have a Pentium 4 system, and I run Windows XP home.

    Thanks for any help!

    Ken

    Hi Ken:
Try this article & see if it helps. If you've installed & removed Corel WordPerfect Office, try this article.
    Cheers,
