    Powerpoint/Excel link problem (powerpoint 2000)

Now my question is, is it possible to put all this documents in a folder and that powerpoint always look for the documents in the path where the presentation is.......??? (So if the presentation is in cresentation that he looks for the excel documents in this folder) I hope someone can help me......... TNX

I believe the answer to your question is to put all of the Excel documents in the same folder so you can use relative links - see the web page referenced in <post#=275493>post 275493</post#>. You can also do a search on "links" in this forum by clicking the Search menu and you will find several articles where related topics are discussed. As PPT linking is somewhat unique, I've locked the similar thread in General Office and pointed loungers to this thread.

Since you already have a bazillion links, it might be best for you to move all the files into the same folder with the presentation and do the Edit/Links on your end, then send the files to your friend.

Then again, http://www.rdpslides.com/pptools/FAQ00035.htm mentions that PPT will generally look in the same folder for an OLE-linked file if it can't find the full path, so your friend might be okay just putting them all in the same folder. Probably worth a shot, anyway.
