Sort order of Shown in Save As dialog box (2002)

Like many people I occasionally save attachments from Outlook email messages to my hard drive. I recently noticed that the sort order of the files and folders displayed in my Save As dialog box is now in reverse alphabetical order. It used to be in regular alphabetical order. I have no idea how I did this but I must have done it without knowing it. Does anyone know how to change the sort order of items displayed in the Save As dialog box? Maybe this is a feature of Windows XP rather than Outlook but the question remains.

When you open "My Computer" what sort order is it in?

You will find that the sort order of the folder MAY be retained when using the folder listing panes within a application.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

As Dave says, the view may be retained - check:
Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View...
and see if "Remember each folder's view settings" is selected.

You should be able to set the view you want:
Click on the Views button and select Details (if not already selected)
Click on column header "Name" to toggle between alphabetical normal and reverse listings.
