The names usually come from a Nicknames file. From the sound of it, either your exisiting file has become corrupt or you have had trouble migrating it to your new Outlook version. HTH

    Re: e-mail addresses (2002)

No matter what the circumstances, it appears that the system is going to have to relearn the names. If you have not changed Outlook versions, the old, corrupted file should be in something like Documents and Settings[username]Local SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftOutlook. It has an NK2 extension. Before Outlook 2002, it had an NICK extension. You will need to have both "Show hidden files and folders" checked and "Hide extensions for known file types" unchecked under Start|Settings|Control Panel|Folder Options|View in order to access the file. Either back it up by moving it out of its folder or delete it. You will need to have Outlook closed when you do this. HTH
