    MIrrored File (97 Sr2)

We have one workbook file that always opens twice - like a duplicate/mirror of the document. It puts .xls:1 and .xls:2 after each workbook name. If you delete something in one, it deletes in the other. I have checked for macros - there are no macros. There is no personal.xls file anywhere. The option File, Save As, Options, Create backup - is NOT checked. What else could I be missing here? It's just one workbook. Other workbooks are fine. If you copy or rename the file, the problem follows. There are about 12 sheets in the workbook.

I'm sure this is something obvious that I am overlooking.
