    Tables (Word 2003)

I've created a document with a table in it, which I add rows to when neccessary. It normally spills on to 2 pages ok. This time a gaps been created in between rows and made it 3 pages. It's as though I've inserted a page break, but I haven't. Can anyone suggest anything. Cheers.

    Re: Tables (Word 2003)

    Hi Rob:
    Check 3 things.
    1. Turn on the show/hide button & make sure there isn't a paragraph mark between any rows in the table. You might have inserted a "Spit table" (Ctrl+Shift+Enter). If it's there, delete it.
    2. Check Table Properties to see if "Allow rows to break across pages" is unchecked.
    3. And for the most probable cause, check the styles properties that you're using in the tables (select them all & go to Format/Paragraphs...the menu might be somewhat different in Word 2003 than my 2000 version). Make sure none of them are formatted with "Keep with next", "page break before".
    Hope this helps,
