    bar tab

    Just curious, how would you make pratical use of Word's bar tab?

    It does appear among the assortment of tabs available in Word 2000. As I was teaching tabs, a student asked what you do with a bar tab. It appears to put a vertical line through muiltiple lines of text. Why would you want to do that?

    I think it is a hangover from the days before table borders and we had to generate column borders ...
    You are obviously too young ...
