    Macro hot key (Excel 2000)

I have a number of macros attached to toolbar icons which are set up to be text only, and on them I used the & indicator in the the Name property of the icon to, I thought, create a hotkey to execute the macro rather than clicking the toolbar icon. Doesn't work. Nor does the Ctrl+Shift+key setting on the Tools/Macros/Edit option box seem to work. Any suggestions as to why that might be the case? Thanks.

Re: Macro hot key (Excel 2000)

Is it any particular combination(s) or all of them?
I can create them and they "all" seem to work with Tools - macro - macros - options
They will even "override" excel's builtin shortcuts (if you choose one already taken).

For me, this can break down when the custom Hotkey duplicates an existing Hotkey. In that case, {Enter} tends also to be required. HTH
