    Block unsafe expressions (Access 2003)

My new access wants to block unsafe expressions in my tried and true access database. Is this normal Is this okay. Does this mess up the reports??

Unfortunately, it's one of the new "security" features in 2003. I believe you can stop it by setting your security level to lower value, but it's a recognized pain.

There is lots of stuff on the MS Knowledge Base, but the thread starting with <post:=486,466>post 486,466</post:> may shed some light on issues that can occur. Are you getting pestered by it also?

Pestered is a nice word compared to how I feel about it!

My current worry is that users without access will turn off unsafe expressions and then be left with a database not functioning properly and no way to turn the question dialog back on. Now, I haven't been able to test all of that scenario - so I'm wondering what others have seen.

Perhaps CSD - Macro Security will give you some ideas.
