    Managing Yahoo e-mails (2000)

I've configured Outlook 2000 to receive my Yahoo e-mails. I set it up to keep a copy on my server - does this mean if I move an e-mail to a sub-folder in Outlook it will still be in its original location in Yahoo? If I delete an e-mail in Outlook, I presume it will still be present in Yahoo?

Is it possible to configure Outlook so that the Yahoo e-mails are down-loaded to a sub-folder in my Outlook Inbox? Thank you, Andy.

    Re: Managing Yahoo e-mails (2000)

Tools > Services ...(select Yahoo) ...Properties > Advanced
and select "Leave a copy on the server" otherwise it should be deleted.

You should be able to set up a rule to move incoming mail to a folder of your choice. You may need to add your yahoo address to you contacts/pab so that it can be selected as being addressed to.

Once you have a copy of the email on your hard drive, Yahoo will have no idea whatsoever of where in your PST file you have filed your copy and will not change if you move it.
