    auto outline indent (2003)

In Office 2003, I have set up a multi level outline. When I type a line and hit enter, it happily increments the number. However, I have to tell it to increase or decrease the indent manually (rt click menu or toolbar). I seem to remember this being a simple TAB or Shift-TAB in previous versions.

Is this a setting change I messed up on upgrade or did MS break something (again).?

    Thanks,

    Steve Kalman

I don't have Word 2003, but in Word 2002 it is an AutoFormat As You Type setting (in Tools | AutoCorrect Options...), labeled something like Set Left- and First-Indent with Tabs and Backspaces.

    That's it. Many thanks for the info and for the lightning-quick response. <img src=/S/angel.gif border=0 alt=angel width=15 height=21>
