    USB Wireless Network Adapter

I have a strange problem with an Intel USB Wireless Network adapter. When I first start my system, the device flashes signalling that it is not working (and it isn't). If I then restart the system, everything works fine. So what is it that is allowing the adapter to work from a warm boot but not from a cold start? I'm using Windows 98.

Limited experience here, but is it possible that it just needs more time to "synch" itself? What happens if you cold start and wait, say like 10 or 15 minutes?

No, waiting does not help at all. I've waited for hours and nothing happens.
