Parameters for loading IE form a shortcut (6SP1 plus acres of hotfixes!)

This ought to be an easy one!

I'm trying to start IE and load a specific webpage immediately, so in the Shortcut I'm putting

    "C:Program FilesInternet Exploreriexplore.exe" http://<required-web-page>

but when running this it is minimised to the Task Bar, and you have to click on it to get the window.

The only parameters of any relevance I can find using TechNet are from the bottom of "Appendix C - Batch-Mode File Syntax and Command-Line Switches":
-new Specifies that the browser window will start a new browsing process.
-k Specifies that the browser will start in Kiosk (full-screen) mode.

neither of which do anything about window minimisation...

    Thanks!

    John

I hardly dare to ask this, but have you checked that the shortcut has not incidentally been set to run miminised? I created a shortcut to a web page the way you describe, and it opens normally...
