    System Restore

I have apparently deleted all previous restore points. I have a complete backup made very recently and would like to know how to locate the files in WINDOWS so I can copy from backup to current.
    Many thanks,

    Re: System Restore

How did you create this recent backup, i.e. did you just use the COPY or XCOPY commands to dupe the files to another device or did you use a standalone backup program? In so doing (whatever you did) if you maintained the directory (folder) structure, you shouldn't have to know where each file goes as the RESTORE function of the program should properly place the files for you. If I'm not understanding your question, I'll appreciate your clarification.

    Bigaldoc,
    Thanks for your reply.
I just copied my C partition to my larger PC using a USB cable and the PC-Linq software from Prolific. Not all of the system files were copied (probably in use). So I would really just like to find the Restore files and copy them back to the other PC - if that's possible.
