Overall Project cost calculations (Project 2002 (10))

    Hi folks,
I want to try to accurately obtain costs in Project, previously I have just used it to schedule with no associated costs. What do you recommed is the best way to account for the Project Manager hourly contract rates. Obviously I only put some tasks I do as full time PM into the schedule but I still want Project to calculate my full time contract rates for the entire length of the project. If is best to put these in retrospectively as a fixed cost less the tasks I have already accounted for, or is there a nice easy way to account for them on-going.
    Thanks

To do this correctly, you would need to load rates for each resource identified. Then you could adjust the rates each year based on escalation factors if they exist. Input the rates fully loaded with GA, OH, and Profit if you want a total cost. These is a lot more to this as well but this simplistic approach should work.
