    Closing WIN ZIP

**If this is posted in the wrong forum, please feel free to move it to its proper home.**

Probably very simple, but I cannot find it : Is there a setting I can
use to close WIN ZIP automatically after extracting a file?

    I am using WINZIP 7.0

    Thank you,
    Michael

    Hi Michael:
I don't recall the features of 7.0, but I'm using WinZip8.1. It places certain commands on a context menu. When you use those commands, you can extract, etc. without even opening WinZip.

    Re: Closing WIN ZIP

Thanks Phil - I will certainly download 8.1 for my home use.
Unfortunately, here at work, IT controls the downloads, and they are
    happy, right now, with 7.0.

Guess I'm just being lazy - I just don't like the 'extra' click to close the application when it's done.

    Thanks Phil !!

There's a security vulnerability in WinZip 7.x (and 8.1 through SR-1). Perhaps this justifies the upgrade? See http://www.winzip.com/fmwz90.htm.
