QuickView

Does anyone know why QuickView was not part of W2K? It was a part of Win95, 98 and NT. If so, do you know if it is possible to get it from a download somewhere? TIA.

According to JSI, it is not an installable option in W2K. There are some alternatives (not free) offered at the linked site.

they lost or chose not renew the license they had for it. whether the "problem" was MS decided not to relicense it or jasc made the decision, i don't know.

    Re: QuickView

jasc bought out the quick view license from inoso.

i thought hte cost of QV+ was a bit high for the extra features, even with no shipping (internet download)

    Re: QuickView

MS may not have had the option to renew. Jasc rolled QV+ into Corel's Office 2000 suite (CD2) and further limits corporate licensing to a certain number of seats, I suspect as part of their agreement. If you're in a Word shop with lots of seats, you're stuck!
