# Thread: Number & Text (2002)

1. ## Number & Text (2002)

I'm sure someone can help here - I'm using this formula =IF(I4<F4,"",IF(NETWORKDAYS(G4,I4),"days overdue","")). I'd need to be able to include the number of days overdue in the text - ie 10 days overdue.

I'm sure there is a very simple solution to this - when you know how. Any ideas out there?

Instead of just "days overdue", use NETWORKDAYS(G4,I4) & " days overdue". Note the space before 'days'.

3. ## Re: Number & Text (2002)

Try:

=IF(I4<F4,"",IF(NETWORKDAYS(G4,I4)>0,NETWORKD AYS(G4,I4)&" days overdue",""))

Hans - thanks for the quick reply. I modified the formula to =IF(I4<F4,"",IF(NETWORKDAYS(G4,I4) &" days overdue","")), as you suggested, however I get a #VALUE! error. Any thoughts?

What I meant was what Legare posted.

6. ## Re: Number & Text (2002)

Thanks Guys. I've had to change this slightly to return a value based on the following:- if todays date is >G4 - count the days between the dates, return '# days overdue' or leave blank.

Any suggestions

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. Does this give you what you want?

=IF(TODAY()>G4,NETWORKDAYS(G4,TODAY())&" days overdue","")

Or possibly this:

=IF(TODAY()>G4,(TODAY()-G4)&" days overdue","")
