Wierd stuff in Word (office 2k)

    Hello All,
Some of my documents are showing what appears to be font names, document locations, etc interspersed throughout the document. I could best describe this as a document summary. I've pasted some of the info at the end of this msg.

Any ideas how to turn this off and let the document display just as I have typed it?

    Thanks for any help.

You probably selected "Recover Text From Any File" in the "Files of Type" dropdown list in the File | Open... dialog. Switch back to "All Word Documents".

Are you sure you are looking at .doc files? If so, they have become corrupt. Retrieve a recent backup copy to see if that is undamaged.
