    Synchronize ComboBox & Subform (2000)

    Hi,
Still working on this Parts Database. I have fixed a few things I was having trouble with earlier. My problem now is I'd like to synchronize a combo box choice with a subform record. I've attached a sample database. My question is with frm4172AOrderForm. I have a main form that has 2 subforms. My overall picture is this. We rebuild machines, we have to create a list of parts we need for those machines. Once that is done, we put those parts out for quote, when the quote comes back we input the price and vendor for a particular part.

When we order, we have to use a 4172A form. Each Order Form can only have ONE machine & ONE Vendor. The above form does that. It allows me to pick the Machine and Pick the Vendor and shows me the parts for that vendor for that machine. Right now though they have to type in the ID's. I'd like to automate that some.

I'd like to have a combo box with the Machines and the person chooses the machine (to order parts for), then another combo box lists the vendors that have parts to be ordered for that machine, then I would then generate a report order form with that vendor and that machine and the parts.

I have the 2 combo boxes automated (using a post from here <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>), but they aren't synched with the subforms, is there a way to do that?

    Thanks,
    Deb

Never mind responding to this if anyone was thinking of it. I solved my problem by using Query by Form and a requery line on the OnClick even.
