    Afternoon -

How to make the default size of the Find: All Folders window [Start/Find/Files & Folders] to be
    maximized?

    Thank you.

Re: Find All Files indow size

I wish I knew the answer to this one. It appears that "hooking into" the Find function is quite difficult (it's actually a part of Windows Explorer). I've tried a few solutions to try to resize the window (vertically in particular) but one major annoyance is that the results window has to be visible first; otherwise the whole thing just reverts back to its puny default size and all your initial resizing efforts are lost. It's then a bit pointless having to run something to resize it, since it's already sitting there awaiting a manual resize.

The attached is something I found somewhere ??? but now can't relocate. (Edited - Try here) I could never get the VBS script to work but you might have more luck:

'MaxFind.vbs - Display the Find window in a maximized state.
    '
'Windows Script Host 2.0 Required. WSH 2.0 comes with Internet
'Explorer 5.01, or you can download WSH 2.0 for free from MS at
    'http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/vbscript/scripting.asp
    '
'To use this script, the "All Files.fnd" file included in the
'zip file must be in the same folder as the script. Double click
'the script to create a shortcut in your Start Menu which you
'can use to run Find maximized.

Have you tried "Dragging" the window to the size you want, and then using "File, Close". It retains the last "Closed" size for me, you will find this trick will work on MOST windows.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

How about this? When you first open Windows Find files & folders (you can do so by clicking on the taskbar & pressing F3), immediately press:
Alt,Spacebar,X (that's the Alt key, then spacebar, then X; you don't have to hold anything down...just type)
This will maximize your Find dialog box & it will stay that way for that session.
    Cheers,
