    Training Videos

I read in Woodies for MM today about setting up Powerpoint to automatically run a presentation. This might be a good way to do what I need. But, it may not. I need some advice on the best way.

I teach some classes on a mapping program (AutoCad add on). It's a hands on, intense two day course. Have had many students ask about a way for them to view the course on their computer. I have used Camtasia to create movie files of me speaking as I show how things are done on the screen.

Is there a better way? I have an issue with the entire screen not being seen on some machines depending on the screen resolution.

I would appreciate any input on this subject.

    Hi Larry,

I just got around to reading Woody's article last night and thought I'd comment on it in reference to your question. I think the best format for your tutorials is the one you are using. If your students want to see the course on their computers, you could create a series of tutorial videos for each segment of the course and then burn them on to a CD. If you wanted to use the Self-Running Presentation format to tie them all together, that might work out well. If you incorporated your videos into the presentation with text and other visual, vocal and sound effects to tie all the pieces into a cohesive tutorial presentation with instructional videos. It would involve some work, but the finished product, burned on to a CD, would make it worth the effort.
