Icons on Title Bar of Forms (Access 2000)

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the icon shown in the top left of an Access form (to the left of the caption) to something else, or supress it altogether without loosing the caption/title bar of the form?

To suppress the icon (but also the control menu, as well as the minimize/maxime/close buttons in the title bar, set the Control Box property of the form to No.

To change the icon, you need Windows API calls, see API: Put a custom icon in the form's caption bar on the Access Web.

If interested see attached text file, an exported code module. You can rename with .BAS extension and import into Access VB Editor. Call the LoadFormIcon function on form's Open or Load event. Example:

    LoadFormIcon Me.hwnd, CurrentProject.Path & "IconsIconFile.ico"

In this example, the icon file is located in a subfolder named "Icons" in same path as the application file (this simplifies things if you use this technique for many of your forms). I use this code in most of my applications & works reliably in different versions of Access & Windows.
