    Installing Office 2003 (Professioan Upgrade)

Finally getting around to installing Office Pro 2003 on computer with Windows XP running Office XP currently. Am I better to uninstall Office XP first (using Office Removal Wizard mentioned in Woody's Que book) or should I just do the default install, over XP? Is one a "better" install than another or does it matter?

If I remove XP, does that mean an "ungrade" version won't be "allowed" to install?

On my machines I let the install of 2003 do the un-install of the earlier versions and has worked just fine.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

As well, if you follow Dave's advice, all of your customized settings from Office XP will be left intact. Bonus.

    Dave and John,

Thanks for the advice. Sounds as if just installing it "over" XP makes most sense. That's what I'll do!
