    MSP Task Word Wrap? (XP)

    Hello,

Excel has a Word Wrap option, you can also use ALT+Enter to do it manually and this helps when tasks are longer than the line can comfortably accommodate.

How can I do this with MSProjects Tasks?

    TIA,

    Bob.

I don't know about XP, but in prior versions of project, there is no auto-wrapping feature such as excel when you format cells and tell them to wrap text. You have to ensure that the height of the rows can accommodate text wrapping and follow some other rules such as text must have a space....

    Dear Gary,

    Thanks for your reply.
I've attached a Project File for us to look at for example.
I tried to use Spaces to fix the issue but can't.
Can you please do it on the attached file & show me & tell me exactly how it's done?

    Thank you.

    Bob.

    Bob,

Here are some items to check for. In order for wrapping to work, the following conditions must be met (this applied to other versions of project):

    (1) Row Height > 1
    (2) Cells must be left aligned
    (3) There must be spaces between words. One long set of characters in the cell without spaces will not wrap. **This is where it typically fails.

In the file you sent, if you increase the height of the row the text will wrap.
    Regards,

    Gary
