Outlook XP after McAfee (Outlook XP)

    Hello:
I've just removed McAfee Virus Scan from my hard drive and installed another virus program. Now, when I turn on Outlook, I get the following error message indicating that this could not be loaded: "crogra~1mcafee.comvsooutscan.dll". Since I shouldn't need anything of McAfee's now, how to I stop this message from appearing every time I get on Outlook? or worse, have I done something really wrong??
    Thanks in advance

McAfee's uninstaller might not have removed its add-in from Outlook's configuration information. Check for and, if necessary, remove the McAfee add-in in one of these places:

Tools > Options... > Other tab > Advanced...

COM Add-Ins... (more likely in this case)

Add-In Manager... (less likely in this case)

If you're anxious about removing, simply unchecking the box might solve it. Hope this helps.

Thank You. It was in the Add-In and simply unchecking the box worked. I would never have figured that one out by myself. Thanks again ....... have a great week .......... :-)
