    Windows 98 passwords

We have an office computer that is being accessed improperly after hours. It runs Windows 98. I have changed the password for the user, but anyone can turn on the computer and hit escape to get on. How can I force the computer to require a password, or refuse to let someone on? Can this be done in Windows 98? Do I need to purchase a 3rd party software, or do I need to upgrade to XP? Please help.

If you can stand to TURN OFF the computer, you can put a BIOS password in that would prevent unauthorized persons from starting the PC. If that's not possible, it would probably require some additional software, 'cause obviously screensaver passwords ain't gonna get the job done.
