    Rotate Text (Word XP 2002)

Is it possible to actually rotate text to say a 30 degreee angle within a text box. I have tried Word art but as the text will be different sizes it is difficult to line up and keep consistent .

    Any ideas

No, that is not possible in Word. You can rotate text in Excel cells, and copy/paste those as a picture into Word: either keep Shift down in Excel, select Edit | Copy Picture, then Edit | Paste in Word, or Edit | Copy in Excel, Edit | Paste Special..., Picture option in Word.

Did you try Power Point and see if it's any better than Excel?

See if this works. Create your text box (with the proper font, size, etc., with or without a border). Select the text box, Cut and then Paste Special as a Picture (Windows metafile). Then format the picture (Layout) either in front of or behind text, then Advanced and uncheck Move Object With Text. You can then move the "text" wherever you want on the page and you can also free rotate it. This procedure eliminates all of the distortion problems associated with Word Art.
