    word and outlook 2000

I just switched to outlook 2000 I confused. When I sent mail with outlook 98 I was able to use Word to compose my message. Now it seems that even if I check the box "Use Word as your email editor' it still looks like I'm using palin text i.e. incorrect spelling not underlined etc.
Also my signature is gone! When I follow the instructions I found here by inserting autotext I only get one line at a time instead of the whole thing! How do I get it to show up automatically.
I apologize if this has been covered in the forum. I searched and could not find a reference.

Sounds frustrating! You may want to check to see that Spell-as-you-Go is on, because it should be underlining. (Tools/Options/Spelling and Grammar/Check spelling as you type.)

As for the signature, it is created in Word, not Outlook. Use Tools/Option/General/E-mail Options, you can create a signature(s) first, then choose the default near the bottom of the dialog box.
