    This one's tough.

    Ricky and Jezza,

Public transport is not involved. Perhaps a bit of order is in order.

    How about this wild guess. I am at least 99% sure it's wrong <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

I don't have the slightest idea about the solution, but <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #000000; font-weight: bold"><font color=yellow>have you noticed that the third number (the c in in a:b:c) never decreases?

    etc.</font color=yellow></span hi>

    Re: Information Underload

I want to make sure I am not reading too much into the puzzle.
    The pattern of "times"/numbers:
Is it supposed to be 1 long sequence (if so, you forgot many commas) [like a,b,c,....r,s, ?,?]
or is it supposed to be the "grid pattern" you "indicate" 4 times (line1/2 are together with the comma), then 2 times, then 3 times, then 2 times, then 2 times, then 3 times, then 2 times and the answer is 2 separate instances of "1 time"

Or is the comma at the end of the first line in error and you mean:
2 times, then 2 times, then 2 times, then 3 times, then 2 times, then 2 times, then 3 times, then 2 times and the answer is 2 separate instances of "1 time"

Just wanting to make sure I understand your grid pattern and I am not looking at "tricks" that are not intended to be there

Or if the puzzle is "as written" and has no errors (too many or too few commas, line breaks are line breaks) and that is all "part of the puzzle" just let us know.

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Information Underload

    What is the answer?

I'll leave interested parties to ponder awhile!

    Re: Information Underload

    Steve,
Thanks for pointing out the comma at the end of line one. It is in error and has been amended. I don't want to give too much away, but:

The commas separate a unit. Each line makes up a coherent object which contributes to the whole.
My hint about order is worth reiterating.

    Rob,

    Are we looking at <span style="background-color: #FFFF00; color: #000000; font-weight: bold"><font color=yellow>dates</font color=yellow></span hi>?

    Re: Information Underload

That would be too easy. I was in a hurry when I replied to Steve and I need to add a rider.

In the correctly ordered solution , the commas separate a unit. Each line makes up a coherent object which contributes to the whole.
My hint about order is worth reiterating.

I'll supply another clue a bit later.
