    Java NOT working

    When going to several sites that use JavaScript, I am getting a gray area where the Java results should be displaying. With the cursor in the gray area, the following message is appearing in the status bar of IE5.01 and IE5.5:
    <font color=red>"Error: Java.Lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.securedClassload Possible causes: If you are trying to use J/"</font color=red> and the message stops here.

    I had IE 5.5 running for some time, backed out to IE5.01, still no go. I am running this on a Windows 2000 machine.

    I have NO problem with these same sites with my beta machine and this one booted in to Windows 98.

    Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    To at least see the full message of a script error, enable Tools|Internet Options...|Advanced|Browsing|Display a Notification About Every Script Error. However, that doesn't look like a script error to me.

    Some setting has been changed on this system and I can NOT find it. I have compare the IE option settings on all machines and they are the same(?????).

    Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
