PDF: Grid Lines Show Through in Embedded Charts (2002/SP2)

I have a Word file with embedded Excel column charts. When I convert it to PDF, some of the horizontal grid lines on some of the charts show through some (but not all) of the columns. Sometimes, only a few of the lines, not all, show through a particular column. Can anyone explain to me why this occurs and how I can fix it?

    Thanks,
    Terry

    Hi Terry,

This may be a problem with the pdf converter itself (you don't mention the product & version). One way around the problem might be to save your work, then copy the charts and paste them over the originals as pictures (via Edit|Paste Special) before converting to pdf.

    Cheers
