    Macro security (Word 2000/XP)

I have created a seperate template with a special numbering format that contains style macros.
Is there a possibility that the macro security can be set to medium when the document is opened and then reset to high when the document is close?
Most of the users panic when they receive the dialog box request that they activate the macros and I want some or other way to circumvent this so that a document is opened from the template.

    Any ideas??

    Regards

If an automatically executed macro could turn off macro security, that would defeat the entire purpose of macro security. Every macro virus writer would use it! Instead, you can do one of the following:

    - Install the template in the user templates folder or workgroup templates folder. Templates in either of these folders are automatically trusted. If you like, you can install the template in a network folder and have all users set the network folder as their workgroup templates folder.

    - Sign the template with a digital certificate.

    - Have the users check "Trust all installed add-ins and templates" in the Trusted Sources tab of Tools | Macro | Security...

Yes, of course, that is true - and we cannot have that!

    Will try your other options.
