Framed paragraph error 4605

    Create a new document; type some text.

    Select all the text (Ctrl-A) and choose Insert TextBox.

    Right-click, choose Format, Textbox tab, Convert To Frame.

    Then try running this macro

Public Sub cmd_Header()
    Selection.HomeKey Unit:=wdStory
    With Selection.PageSetup
    .DifferentFirstPageHeaderFooter = True
    End With

    You'll probably come up with error 4605 "This method or property is not available because the object refers to a framed paragraph".

    Weird, eh?

    What ever happened to < It's Text Boxes for me > ?
    - see what you get for playing with your new toy (search tags).

    It only seems to happen if the Frame is the first item in the document. Placing text before the Frame makes everything ok. (Re)moving it brings back the problem.

    Weird and it has to be a Bug - why should one not have a frame first up in a document.

    Well, it could've been a "design feature".

    Thanks for confirmation. At my age you start to suspect it's senility coming back again ......
