Memory Could not be "read"

I am getting the following error in Access97 (and possible other Office97 progs):

The instruction at "0x018fbe8d" referenced memory at "0x0000000d". The memory could not be "read".

I've searched through Technet and not be successful in finding a solution. I've seen this error before on otherworkstations. Does anyone have any clues?

    Does this

and possible other Office97 progs

mean you are getting this error on other Office 97 apps? What version of Windows are you running? Are you using ADO? Are you running VB 6? Are you using SQL Server?

You might want to take a look at KB articles Q242375, Q221562, Q281735, Q235433, and especially Q201962 and see if any of them applies.
