    Windows Messenger (Win XP with all updates)

    Is there any way I can get rid of Windows Messenger? It loads automatically and when I try to close it it will not let me do so unless Outlook is first closed. So I close Outlook and then I close Windows Messenger. As soon as I restart Outlook Windows Messenger restarts. Although I am not signed in to Windows Messenger and I will not, I still would rather not have this "ready". I don't even use Outlook for e-mail so...

    Thanks for the quick reply. Much appreciated. It is now forever off my system. (Sure - like Microsoft would make it so easy. Let's see for how long it stays off)
