    Word tempate (2003)

I have inserted a logo at the top of the page (not as a header because I don't want it on the 2nd page) and a footer at the bottom. How do I get the cursor to start 1" below the logo when you open the document? Now the curser is next to the logo and when the user hits the enter key to move down it moves the logo down out of place.

I have Word 2002, not 2003, but I suppose it's not much different.
    - Right-click the logo and select Format Picture...
    - Activate the Layout tab.
    - Click Advanced...
    - Select Above and Below.
    - Set Distance from Text, Below to 1".
    - Click OK (twice).

As an aside, this is why they invented the "first page header." <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15> In earlier versions of Word, you enabled the first page header/footer in the File>Page Setup... dialog. The tabs in that dialog have changed from version to version, but I believe in 2000 and 2002 the relevant tab is called Layout.
