Seq numbering (2003)

I am trying to create a numbering system for 1 template using seq fields and am getting nowhere. The numbering is to look as follows:
1A.
1B.
2A.
2B.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Seq numbering (2003)

For your first level of numbering (1a, 2a, 3a etc) use the field
{ SEQ First * Arabic } { SEQ Second * alphabetic r 1 }

For the second level numbering (1b, 1c, 1d etc.) use the field
{ SEQ First * Arabic c } { SEQ Second * alphabetic }

r 1 says to reset the alphabetic sequence to a
c says to reuse the most recent valiue of the numeric field code

Create your first field codes from the Insert Field menu, then create two autotext entries, or simply copy and paste them as they are needed
