allow others to post to web site

I am a real web newby - I can just about manage to create a site with frontpage and upload it. I want to create a site for a sporting club - it would be great if team managers could up load their results each week in a given format. I know products like cold fusion would allow this but that is well beyond the budget (and the skill level of the webmaster <img src=/S/blush.gif border=0 alt=blush width=15 height=15> ). Any other ideas of how this might be done either very cheaply or free?

You could create subwebs withing your FrontPage web and allow the managers to simply ftp in a revised page. If the filename used was consistent, any existing links would point to the latest uploaded version.

More info on Subwebs here at OutFront.

It may all come down to how "technically competent" the managers are and/or how easy you want to make life for them. Using something like Internet Neighborhood, files can be uploaded as simply as copying with Windows Explorer. Or you could automate the whole thing: the managers email you their page and ExLife extracts the attachment either directly to the web, or you use I.N. to upload to a schedule.

Good advice, and the templates there can make your site look like you paid big bucks for a graphic designer!
