    PDF forms (various)

I have a "static" PDF form (not a "fill-in" form) that I amtrying to fill in in Word. I am trying to use it as a background and put text boxes over the areas that need to be filled in. Any suggestions?

What sort of suggestions are you fishing for? Are you avoiding doing it in Acrobat because you don't own the software? Placement of the fields is much easier in Acrobat.

    Right...it's a workaround...
I bring in the form as a static graphic...
Can I make it a "watermark" such that it is always in the background?

Is there a way to link a text box to text in another location...
Kind of like you can link a text box in Excel to a cell?

You can easily make the background image by inserting it in the header as a floating object.

Linking content from a text box doesn't appear easy but if you convert the text box to a frame then you could use a styleref field or bookmark the text and use a ref field.

I would be inclined to use form field entries and place these inside the frames. Each form field will have a bookmark which can serve as the hook for the ref field.
