    macros (Word 2002 SP2)

How can you copy an individual macro from normal.dot to another computer? Is there a way to copy single macros?

    Re: macros (Word 2002 SP2)

Macros are organized in modules. You can export an entire module (Export File... in the File menu and in the right-click menu for the module) to a .bas file; this can be transported to the other computer and imported (Import File in the File menu and in the right-click menu for a module.)

If you want to transfer a single macro, select its text and copy it to the clipboard. Paste it into a text file (or into the body of a Word document.) Transfer the file to the other computer, and copy and paste the code into a module in Normal.dot.
