    Button Face Bizarre

I've a custom toolbar button which all of the sudden changed its face. It now displays a "clicked" or activated look -- the button is pushed in as if the mouse pointer is on it and the user is pressing the mouse button. I want to see the regular non-clicked button face. How do I change this back? I can't find a button property for this.

This happens in break mode if you used the button to run the macro, but I don't really see how it could happen otherwise. Maybe WinAPI.

Yes, that may have happend. Indeed, that just might be it. But how do I undo the "damage?"

    Re: Button Face Bizarre

    Jeff,

I discovered that invoking the .execute method for the button:

    application.commandbars("Toolbar").Controls(1).exe cute

resets the button face. I vaguely remember a property called buttonfacedown (and buttonfaceup) or something like that somewhere in the bowels of the VBA dungeon. Am I hallucinating...

    Hi Kevin,
In 2k it's commandbarbutton.state (can be msoButtonUp or msoButtonDown)
    Hope that helps.

    Rory,

Thanks, that's what I was thinking about! It's the same in Word 97, BTW.
