Re: Where are settings saved? (2003)

In Outlook 97 and 2000, there was a file named YourProfileName.FAV in one of the folders under Application Data that stored customizations of the "Outlook Bar." Not sure about 2002 or 2003.

Re: Where are settings saved? (2003)

Apparently not for 2003. I ended up redoing it and even check for any *.fav files on my system and all of them (backups included) were pre-2003. My OL2k2 did use the fav file.

    Where are settings saved? (2003)

When one customizes the left pane with shortcuts, is there a file where these are saved and can be backed up?

Any one have any idea what the answer is to this one? Thanks.

For those who might need to know, thanks to an MVP over on the CSI board (Athena) here is the answer. The settings are saved in an xml file, rather than a fav file. It is under your YourProfileName.xml in one of the folders under Application Data.

Thanks for coming back with the answer. Very useful to know & another file to add to my regular backup schedule.
