Find and Replace Using Wildcards (Win 2K)

I have an old report that is almost 100 pages long. Most entries end like this: (Pages 123-456). I want to eliminate the old numbering and leave them looking like this: (Pages ), because the numbers will change in the new report. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks!!

    Select Edit | Replace.
Tick the "Use wildcards" check box (you may need to click More first, don't know how the dialog works in Word 2000.)
In the "Find what" box, enter
(Pages*)

and in the "Replace with" box, enter
(Pages )

    Finally, click Replace All.

Thanks for the tip! I tried it but for some reason it stops making replacements after about seven instances. I tried it with "Find" only and it locates all the instances with no problem. Any ideas? Thanks again!

I have had the experience that wildcard searching is sometimes buggy. I've had to close the document, close Word, & try again. It should work though. I experimented with it & it worked fine on a 134 page document (but of course, nothing is buggy when you're just experimenting).

Well, guys! A kick in the butt for me. Your solution wasn't working because I forgot that some of the spaces in "(Pages )" were nonbreaking spaces. Am I smart or what! Thanks for your help. Everything is under control now. I guess. Thanks!!!
