    Filling in a Field Automatically

    Hi All

I've got a form with a contact name and tel number, and also a Head Office name and tel number (this is to allow me to have info for a company branch as well as their Head Office).

However, sometimes a company does not have a Head Office and therefore the Branch Details are simply copied into the Head Office fields.

Is there anyway I can have the Head Office fields updated with the info in the Branch fields if, for example, I click a tick box or something? I'm a bit inexperienced in all this so apologies if this is an easy question.

    Cheers,
    Kenny.

However, you should understand that a table with this design is not normalized. The "correct" design would be to have the contact and phone number in a separate tblContacts table with a field to designate whether this was head office or whatever. Then you could handle as many phone numbers as you needed and you would not copy data into anything because you would only have a record for an actual data entered.
