    Nested (?) sub-totals (2002)

    I have a spreadsheet that is subtotaled by "vendor" but I want not only that but another set of sub-totals (I'm calling them "nested") within each vendor by breaks in the date column. It seems that if I select a vendor's data that has been subtotaled, running another subtotal breaking on date ends up missing the first entry in the group.

    Select your range
    choose data - subtotals
    Change at "vendor column"
    Pick appropriate "add subtotal to" column
    <ok>

    choose data - subtotals (again)
    Change at "Date column"
    Pick appropriate "add subtotal to" column
    Make sure that "replace current subtotals" is unchecked
    <ok>

    Keep adding more subtotals from biggest to smallest

    Perfect. Thank you. I overlooked the step of NOT checking the "replace current subtotals".
    Posting another question in a minute. Maybe you have a solution to this one also.
